DEFINITION: applicants not turning up for interviews, or new hires not showing up at work at all

TRANSLATION: sytuacja, w kt??rej kandydaci nie przychodzą na um??wione rozmowy lub nowi pracownicy nie pojawiają się w pracy

‍EXAMPLE: I've recently been ghosted by two candidates who hadn't informed me they wouldn't be coming to the interview.

TRANSLATION: Ostatnio dw??ch kandydat??w nie pojawi?�o się na rozmowie i nie uprzedzili mnie o tym wcze?�niej.

TO HOLD OFF ON

DEFINITION: to delay something

TRANSLATION: prze?�o??yć to na p????niej

EXAMPLE: Joanna, we have to hold off on that meeting. Something urgent came up.

TRANSLATION: Joanno, musimy prze?�o??yć to spotkanie na p????niej. Wypad?�o mi co?� wa??nego.

BURN THE MIDNIGHT OIL

DEFINITION: work late, usually into the night

TRANSLATION: pracować do p????nej nocy

EXAMPLE: As our project deadline is at the end of March, we'll have to burn the midnight oil at the weekends.

TRANSLATION: Poniewa?? zako?�czenie naszego projektu planowane jest na marzec, będziemy musieli pracować do nocy w weekendy.
